It's developed as general mapping solution, aligned with one of our customer needs. Now it's public and available for usage by any project. Special thanks for hard work to mapper lead developer Alexey Gamanovich.
Based on solid foundation of Dozer mapping framework and leveraging OpenL Tablets benefits, Mapper Framework adds advanced capabilities and introduces compact visual format. Developer documentation with examples is already available.
List of added features includes:
- bi-directional mapping by default
- xpath indexing in collections
- dynamic conditional mapping
- default, required and null/empty mapping enhancements
- multi-source mapping (n-to-1)
- improved hints and convertors
Nearest subsequent releases will add more design time capabilities such as Excel Add-in for editing, compile-time validation, extensive debugging log, easier context handling.
Mapper Framework can be found in central maven repository and is available under LGPL v3. More information available at Mapper page.
